Herbalism Definition:
the study or practice of the medicinal and therapeutic use of plants, now especially as a form of alternative medicine.
I have researched herbs for many years, exploring their benefits for skin and hair. I find therapeutic remedies fascinating. Herbal remedies have a long history dating back as far as 5000 years. I love alternative medicine and always look for those when I am healing. Yarrow & Chamomile are two of the oldest herbal remedies on record.
I definitely would call myself an herbalist but wanted to announce I will be looking into getting my certification in herbalism in the coming years.
Botanicals, also called herbal supplements, are derived from plant leaves, flowers, roots, and bark. An herbalist utilizes plants for healing. I use herbs, oils and extracts in my product recipes and I am always utilizing more and more for their incredible healing properties.
Holistic medicine is a healthcare approach that considers the whole person, including their mind, body, and spirit. It aims to address the root cause of an issue rather than just treating symptoms. I personally believe which ever is the most beneficial to you is what you should try. My opinion is I use what works for me even a combination of the practical, functional, natural and holistic approach to my health.
